WHAT EACH PLAYER RECEIVES
Every player will finish camp with an individual exit meeting. Players will receive direct feedback on their strengths, areas for continued development, habits, and overall performance throughout the week.
The goal is for every player to leave ML Hockey with clear feedback and an understanding of what they need to continue working on as they head into training camp, tryouts, and the season ahead.
MEET THE COACHES
FOUNDER / COACH
Michael Leone is the Head Coach of the Rochester Americans in the American Hockey League. Previously, he served as Head Coach and General Manager of the Green Bay Gamblers in the USHL and spent three years with USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program.
Leone created ML Hockey to give back what was given to him as a player and now as a coach — bringing a high-level development camp to his new hometown of Brighton, Michigan.
COACH
The 2026-2027 NAHL season marks Dakota Bell's fifth season behind the bench for the Ice Dogs and his 13th season of coaching overall.
Bell joined the Ice Dogs organization in the summer of 2022 as an Assistant Coach. After two seasons, he was promoted to Associate Head Coach, and one year later — in the summer of 2025 — he was named the franchise's Head Coach.
Prior to Fairbanks, Bell spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at New England College. Before that, he served as a volunteer assistant coach at Division I Bowling Green. Bell got his start in coaching in his hometown of Bowling Green, Ohio, working as both a head and assistant coach for youth hockey teams at the USA Hockey Tier 1 AAA and Tier 2 AA levels. He has also worked multiple USA Hockey selection camps throughout his career.
Bell holds a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Leadership from New England College (2022) and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Bowling Green State University (2019).
